Terminologické a metodologické problémy výzkumu novověkých pečetí

by Martina Bolom-Kotari

The contribution presented basic questions, on which must focus sigillographers dealing with Early-Modern Age or modern sigillography. We haven´t had proper terminology at our disposal yet, which would enable to reflect specific phenomenon of early-modern age sigillography. Such phenomenon didn´t exist in the medieval sigillography, therefore we don´t have  functional terminology. The attention was paid to the research methodology as well. Sigillography is the only discipline regardless it discovers medieval or early modern age documents. The research methods and theirs usage must reflect the development and transformation of the matter.
