Holger Th. Gräf (Hessisches Landesamt für geschichtliche Landeskunde, DE)

Studium der Geschichte und Germanistik auf Lehramt in Trier. Archivreferendariat in Darmstadt. Leiterin des zentralen Grundbuch- und Personenstands-archivs für Hessen. Im Hessischen Staatsarchiv Marburg verantwortlich für die Bestandserhaltung und die Karten.

Jan Ludwig studied Constitutional, Social and Economic History, Economics and Historical Geography at the Rhenish Friedrich-Wilhelm-University of Bonn. Received PhD on ore mining in the Sauerland within a project of the German Mining Museum in Bochum from the University of Bonn. Archival traineeship at the German Federal Archives and the Archives School in Marburg. Since 2012 at the Department R (German Reich) of the German Federal Archives in Berlin-Lichterfelde, until March 2014 consultant for Economics and Finances and since April 2014 consultant for Documentation and the persecution of Jews.
Christian Groh (International Tracing Service – ITS, DE)
Studied History and English Studies in Heidelberg, PhD in History on re-establishment of police force in post-war Germany, Master in Archival Studies, 1998-2014 historian, archivist and finally director at the City Archives of Pforzheim – Institute of Town History, since 2014 head of department at the ITS. Key responsibility of the department: Safeguarding of original documents and improved accessibility for research purposes by means of digitization and indexing.

Jedlitschka completed his archival education at the Institute for Archival Sciences Marburg and the Saxonian State Archives Dresden. He worked as an archivist at the German Historical Institute in Rome, served as head of archives at the German National Academy of Sciences at Leopoldina, and, since fall 2007, has been the deputy director of the Department of Archives at the Federal Commissioner for the Records of the State Security Service of the former German Democratic Republic (BStU) – The Stasi Records Office.
Stefan Aumann (Hessian State Office for Studies in Regional History, DE)
Studied Medieval and Early Modern History, English Studies and Auxiliary Sciences of History in Göttingen and Dublin. Worked at the Max-Planck-Institute for History in Göttingen, at the Herder-Institute in Marburg and at the University Computer Center of the Philipps-University Marburg. Since 2010 research assistant at the Hessian State Office for Studies in Regional History, since 2014 scientific member of the Hessian Historical Commission.

Herbert Wurster (Archives of the Diocese of Passau, DE)

Since 2006 deputy director of the Hessian State Archives and since 2014 also consultant at the Hessian Regional Archives. Responsible for personnel and planning as well as various collections. Publications in the field of cadastral maps in Hessian-Kassel.
Since graduating M.Sc. (Hons) in Informatics in 1991, Milena Dobreva worked in the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences on digitisation of cultural heritage where she earned her PhD degree in Informatics (1999) and served as the founding head of the first Digitisation Centre in Bulgaria (2004). In 2007 she was a guest researcher at the University of Glasgow contributing to the DELOS network of excellence in digital libraries. In 2008-2011 she worked at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow and served as the principal investigator for projects funded by the European Commission, JISC and Scottish Funding Council. Since 2012 she is an Associate Professor in the University of Malta where under her guidance the programmes in library, information, and archival science had been updated and extended with a Master’s course in Documentary Heritage and Melitensia. In 2014-15 Milena contributed to the EC-funded project Civic Epistemologies, which developed a roadmap for citizen science in digital cultural heritage. Milena regularly evaluates for the European Commission programmes in the area of e-Infrastructures and digital humanities.
Jesper Zedlitz (German Society for Computer Genealogy, DE)
Studied Computer Science at the University of Kiel and received PhD in 2013. Vice President of the biggest German genealogy association, the Society for Computer Scientists with more than 3600 members. Research focus on semantic web technologies, modelling of historic facts, data normalization, development of methods to effectively move from printed sources to high quality Linked Data through for example crowd sourcing.
Automotive engineer with over 25 years’ experience in the industry. Programming in numerous languages and application development have been part of my work throughout my career, and a hobby since my school days. Employed at BMW in Munich since 2012 in the area of vehicle concept development.
