Martina Bolom-Kotari, PhD. (*1981) – was born in Havířov. She received her master and doctoral degree at the Masaryk University in Brno, Faculty of Arts, Department of Auxiliary Historical Sciences and Archive Studies. Between 2008 and 2010 she worked as an archivist at the Security Service Archive.

Since 2010 she has been working as Assistant Professor at the Department of Auxiliary Historical Sciences and Archive Studies, Philosophical Faculty, University of Hradec Králové in East Bohemia.

Since 2017 she is the head of Department. Her scientific interest lies in sigillography, with a special focus on the late medieval period and Early-Modern Age. She researches church history, church administration, late medieval and Early-Modern Age diplomatics. In her free time she enjoys travelling, walking and reading.
